Tax Day TEA Party Rally

Time
Monday, April 18 · 12:00pm - 2:00pm

Location
South Carolina Statehouse
Main and Gervais
Columbia, SC

The Columbia TEA Party will be sponsoring a rally on April 18th on the
north steps of the state capital building in Columbia, South Carolina
from12:00 to 2:00 pm to target out of control federal, state, and local
spending. Everyone should be concerned with how our taxes are being
spent. Following our huge victories in Novembers' election, along with the recent passage of roll call voting. We will be focusing our attention on the national debt, state budget, dissolution of leadership PAC's, funding of public lobbyists, state funded advertising and other areas of abuse. We have a right to know how our tax dollars are being spent and it is time elected officials realize they are public servants and the money they control is not theirs, but ours.

Confirmed speakers

James Lee - Talk show host - Emcee
Nikki Haley - Governor
Michele Bachmann - Congresswoman - Minnesota
David Hartfield - Columbia TEA Party
Hal Nichols - State Coordinator - TEA Party Patriots
Curtis Loftis - state Treasurer
Alan Wilson - Attorney General
Ashley Landess - president of S.C.P.C.
Tom Davis - State Senator
Ralph Norman - general assembly
Kelly Payne - Teacher
Bill Krecker - Fair Tax
Don Weaver - president of S.C.A.T.

Why should you attend this rally? If you are happy with the way your state and federal government is being run, then by all means, stay home. If you want your personal freedoms restored and protected, if you want your elected officials to hear your voice and vote for the issues that concern you and be held accountable, and if you still believe in "one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all", then come join us. We are "We the People" and we will take back America.

The Columbia TEA Party has hundreds of active members and we have been fighting to restore Fiscal Responsibility, Limited Government and Adherence to the Constitution since May of 2009. We do NOT endorse candidates for office, but we monitor their actions very closely during the election process and follow up on them even more closely after they are elected in order to hold them accountable.

There is a discounted parking rate for those attending the April 18 rally. This will only apply to parking in the Lady Street Garage (1100 Lady Street) and the Park Street Garage (1007 Park Street) from the hours 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. A rate of $3.00 will apply for this 4 hour period with use of the code word "Columbia Tea Party."
